As of 2016, a majority of dentists, 24.4 percent, were between the ages of 55 and 64 years, according to the American Dental Association.

4. Among the population of dentists, 16.1 percent are under the age of 35; 22.9 percent are between the ages of 35 and 41; and 21.3 percent are between the ages of 45 and 54.
