Dental AI company Overjet introduced IRIS, a dental imaging software program.
IRIS integrates dental imaging and AI into one software, converting black and white X-rays into full color images that identify oral diseases and anatomical structures, according to a Nov. 4 news release.
Overjet's AI can detect oral diseases, including cavities, periapical radiolucency and calculus in X-rays. IRIS automatically applies the AI's findings to each image.
IRIS allows dentists to improve patient communication and education by having the ability to better explain patients' X-rays.
The software is FDA-cleared to enhance the quality of low-resolution images and X-rays, the release said.
