IRIS integrates dental imaging and AI into one software, converting black and white X-rays into full color images that identify oral diseases and anatomical structures, according to a Nov. 4 news release.
Overjet’s AI can detect oral diseases, including cavities, periapical radiolucency and calculus in X-rays. IRIS automatically applies the AI’s findings to each image.
IRIS allows dentists to improve patient communication and education by having the ability to better explain patients’ X-rays.
The software is FDA-cleared to enhance the quality of low-resolution images and X-rays, the release said.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
