Dental AI company Overjet raised $53.2 million in a series C round of fundraising, the largest ever investment in the dental AI industry.
With the round of funding, Overjet's total funding has reached approximately $133 million and the company's valuation is around $550 million, according to a March 5 news release.
The company will use the funds to continue building first-to-market AI capabilities and aim to connect the dental industry, from providers to payers to dental schools, together.
Overjet serves thousands of dentists in both private practice and DSO settings across North America and partners with payers that collectively cover more than 120 million members. The company has the only platform that is cleared by the FDA to detect, outline and quantify instances of oral disease.
The funding round was led by March Capital, with participation from General Catalyst, Insight Partners, E14 Fund, Crosslink Capital, Spring Rock Capital, Liquid 2 Ventures, and Harmonic Growth Partners, as well as the American Dental Association, the release said.
