Here are five companies making waves in the dental industry that leaders should know:
CareStack: Founded in 2015, CareStack is a cloud-based dental software company that focuses on practice management. CareStack received an investment in July from Straumann Group, a dental equipment and supply manufacturer, which also acquired a minority stake in the company. The software company is led by CEO and founder Abhi Krishna.
Neocis: Neocis is a dental robotics company founded in 2009 by Alon Mozes, PhD, Neocis' CEO, and Juan Salcedo, the company's engineering fellow. Neocis' Yomi Robotic Dental System is the only FDA-cleared robot-assisted dental surgery system in the U.S. The company recently launched its YomiPlan Go workflow system for dental implants commercially.
Overjet: Overjet is a dental artificial intelligence company founded in 2018. It is led by CEO and founder Wardah Inam, PhD, who recently received the Excellence in Industry award from the Edward B. Shils Entrepreneurial Fund. In May, Overjet was the only dental company named to Forbes' "AI 50 2022" list.
Pearl: Pearl is a dental AI software company founded in 2019 by Ophir Tanz, its CEO, and Kyle Stanley, DDS, its chief clinical officer. Pearl was included on the 2022 list of "'Hot Vendors' in Computer Vision" by Aragon Research, a technology insight company.
Tab32: Tab32 is a cloud-based dental electronic health record software and practice management system. The company was founded in 2012 by Kiltesh Patel, who is also the CEO. In July, Tab32 launched its Image Cloud product, which gives dental practices access to cloud-based image management.
