Of those who had a telehealth visit in the past two years, 59 percent agreed or strongly agreed they are more open to receiving telehealth care because of the pandemic, according to a survey by SmileDirectClub.
The survey consisted of 1,000 U.S. consumers.
Of the respondents who had a telehealth visit in the past two years, 77 percent reported having a positive or neutral experience.
Fifty percent of respondents reported ease of access to their doctor as the greatest benefit of telehealth services. Forty-six percent reported flexible scheduling as the second most important benefit and 39 percent reported eliminating transportation to in-person appointments as the third most important.
"The continued acceptance of telehealth will allow health and dental care providers to create more affordable and accessible experiences for patients, without sacrificing safety or quality," said Jeffrey Sulitzer, DMD, chief clinical officer of SmileDirectClub.
