The Henry Schein Cares Foundations pledged $500,000 in cash and healthcare product donations to relief organizations throughout areas in Texas and Louisiana affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Here are four things to know:
1. The foundation opened the Henry Schein Cares Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund to raise money for relief efforts.
2. Henry Schein will match Team Schein member donations to the fund up to $50,000 and will donate medical supplies such as gloves, gauze, toothpaste and mouthwash.
3. In addition to its donation efforts, the Henry Schein disaster relief hotline remains open to dentists and physicians who experience operational, logistical or financial issues as a result of the hurricane.
4. Organizations receiving Henry Schein donations include the Direct Relief International, National Dental Association, Texas Dental Association Relief Fund and Texas Association of Community Health Centers.
