Henry Schein acquires Custom Automated Prosthetics: 4 things to know

Henry Schein's laboratory supply business, Zahn Dental, acquired Custom Automated Prosthetic, a digital laboratory supply company.

Here are four things to know:

1. Through its acquisition, Henry Schein aims to provide its dental laboratory customers' interoperable solutions, services and support.

2. Stoneham, Mass.-based CAP had sales reaching nearly $30 million in 2015.

3. Equipped with more than 60 employees, CAP provides computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing equipment such as integrated milling systems, scanners and printers.

4. CAP's President and Co-Founder Bob Cohen and CEO and Co-Founder Rob Nazzal will join Henry Schein, bringing dental laboratory and digital dentistry expertise.
